Park Lane Developments and Mitiska REIM have acquired a second plot of land in Sofia’s Nadezhda district to develop a new retail park. Bulgarian retail chain “Fantastico” will be a key partner, establishing a modern supermarket within the project.
The shopping park will be located in the “Copper Factory” area, near the newly constructed overpass, providing a direct transport link between the Lyulin, Ilinden, Vrabnitsa, and Nadezhda neighborhoods.
The Nadezhda retail park will offer over 13,000 square meters of retail space and 210 parking spaces. Visitors will have access to more than 20 stores across various categories, including fashion, home goods, electronics, a drug store, a pet store, and others, alongside a fitness center and restaurants. The park will be built with sustainability in mind, and the developers aim to achieve BREEAM “Excellent” certification for buildings in operation. The site will feature landscaped parking areas, with greenery, electric vehicle charging stations, and bicycle racks.
Fantastico will serve as the anchor retailer, constructing a new supermarket on its own 12,600 square-meter property. The store itself will cover 4,000 square meters, with an additional 130 parking spaces for customer convenience. This collaboration between Fantastico and the retail park, developed by Park Lane Developments and Mitiska REIM, marks a significant step in creating a modern shopping destination for residents of the Nadezhda, Vrabnitsa, and Modern Suburb areas. The new Fantastico store will offer a wide selection of high-quality products and services, including a cashier’s office, insurance brokerage, and a pharmacy.
The project is designed by Planning Architectural Studio, led by architect Iliyan Iliev, and supervised by MMV Engineering. Legal services are provided by Wolf Theiss Bulgaria, with Mitiska REIM being advised by Kinstellar Bulgaria.
Park Lane Developments and Mitiska REIM have ambitious plans to develop at least 10 modern retail parks across Bulgaria in the coming years. Their projects focus on providing convenient shopping experiences in densely populated areas, offering easy access, ample free parking, and a wide range of products and services from diverse retailers, with a large grocery store playing a central role in each location.
